Following the recent acquisition of PurePower Technologies, Dr. Bradlee Stroia has been appointed to lead the company’s technology advancements in air and fuel management systems across the globe
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Windsor, Conn. (June 11, 2019) – Stanadyne, a global fuel and air management systems supplier based in Connecticut, announced today that Dr. Bradlee Stroia has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Stroia, formerly the company’s Director of Advanced Engineering, accepted this new assignment shortly after Stanadyne’s acquisition of South Carolina–based Pure Power Technologies, Inc. in April.
“Stanadyne is undergoing transformational change,” says David Galuska, Stanadyne Chief Executive Officer. “Our rapid, organic growth around the world, along with this recent acquisition, has increased the breadth, depth, and reach of Stanadyne’s technological footprint. We need a strong leader to drive our innovative center that will shape our future. Brad’s achievements leading advanced fuel system development, emissions control, and propulsion technologies will ensure Stanadyne is at the forefront of developing ground-breaking technologies for years to come.”
Dr. Stroia joined Stanadyne in August 2016 as the advanced engineering leader for diesel products after nearly three decades in the propulsion industry. Most recently, he was with Cummins Inc., for 26 years, in positions of increasing responsibility within the Fuel Systems and Aftertreatment organizations, eventually becoming the director of advanced fuel system technology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Stroia has received several honors for his work, including the 2009 “American Chemical Society National Award for Team Innovation” for developing the first commercial NOx adsorber emission control system for heavy–duty diesel engines. The project allowed engine manufacturer Cummins to meet emissions goals three years ahead of schedule.
“As CTO, I have been presented a rare opportunity,” says Dr. Stroia. “Stanadyne fosters a culture of innovation and empowerment that extends beyond the products that are conceived. It’s the exceedingly talented people that make the company tick. With this incredible team of experts, I am confident that together we can strengthen our position as a leading global technology company.”
