Stanadyne India Manufacturing Center Earns Economic Times Promising Plants 2021 Recognition

Company’s Chennai location recognized for best practices and building the Indian manufacturing industry image

WINDSOR, Connecticut – August 19, 2021 – The Stanadyne Near East Business Unit’s Chennai, India manufacturing and engineering services center has been recognized as one of The Economic Times Promising Plants 2021. Stanadyne, a leading global fuel and air management systems supplier, produces mechanical diesel pumps and injectors at the location, which also has product design and development capabilities.

Economic Times Promising Plants 2021

Established in 2002, Stanadyne’s Chennai operations encompasses approximately 230,000 square feet (21,448 square meters) of manufacturing and engineering space producing rotary pump, mono-block pump, and injector fuel systems for diesel engines. It has a state-of-the-art machine shop capable of sub-micron machining.

Stanadyne was awarded the Promising Plants 20201 designation during a virtual ceremony held on July 30, 2021. The base criteria for being named one of India’s factories of the future include:

  • Focus on “Make in India” and the Atmanirbhar Initiative of the Prime Minister.
  • Leadership team works closely with employees.
