The global fuel and air management systems supplier expands its GDI advanced engineering and product testing capabilities at the new Gasoline Products Center of Excellence.
Jacksonville, N.C. – July 28, 2021 – Stanadyne, a leading global fuel and air management systems supplier, expanded its Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) advanced engineering and product testing capabilities with the opening of a new Gasoline Products Center of Excellence at its Jacksonville, NC location. The company’s gasoline products engineering and technical teams celebrated the center’s official opening on July 14, 2021, which amplifies Jacksonville’s global gasoline products advanced engineering capabilities.
“The consolidation of our equipment and expertise in Jacksonville further strengthens our position to take on the challenges of developing next-generation gasoline fuel systems,” said Stanadyne Chief Technology Officer Dr. Brad Stroia. “GDI technology is pursuing higher and higher fuel delivery pressures. We are working on 500- to 1000-bar systems that will provide the efficiency and emission performance future vehicle programs need to meet aggressively tightening regulations.”
The Gasoline Products Center of Excellence is located within the Stanadyne Jacksonville operations. Its approximately 35,000 square feet (3,250 square meters) of space is dedicated to GDI advanced engineering and product testing services. The center has more than 40 durability testing stations enabling in-house structural and environmental analysis. In addition, it is planning to increase injection testing resources over the next 12 months.

Currently, the center is staffed by 20 innovation experts, with the potential to increase to 35 over the next 12 months.
