En esta entrada del blog, el Dr. Stroia comparte su opini\u00f3n sobre la viabilidad de uno de los temas candentes de la conferencia: el hidr\u00f3geno.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Los principales responsables de la toma de decisiones de la industria del transporte y los l\u00edderes de opini\u00f3n se reunieron -en persona por primera vez en dos a\u00f1os- en Chicago en la North American International Powertrain Conference (NAIPC) del 15 al 17 de septiembre. El tema principal del programa de tres d\u00edas de duraci\u00f3n fue el de las oportunidades y los retos de conseguir tecnolog\u00edas de transporte neutras en carbono para 2050.<\/p>\n<p>Gran parte del di\u00e1logo de la conferencia gir\u00f3 en torno a la electrificaci\u00f3n como estrategia global para una propulsi\u00f3n limpia. La mejora de la eficiencia de los sistemas de propulsi\u00f3n convencionales para el uso de combustibles renovables, especialmente los motores de combusti\u00f3n interna (ICE), tambi\u00e9n se reconoci\u00f3 como una v\u00eda viable. Uno de los temas m\u00e1s interesantes y esclarecedores para m\u00ed en la conferencia de este a\u00f1o fue el uso del hidr\u00f3geno como fuente de energ\u00eda de propulsi\u00f3n ecol\u00f3gica.<\/p>\n<p>Una r\u00e1pida mirada al espejo retrovisor nos muestra lo que impuls\u00f3 los principales logros tecnol\u00f3gicos de la sociedad moderna.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Podemos empezar con la revoluci\u00f3n industrial impulsada principalmente por el vapor;<\/li>\n<li>A la que sigue la era de la electrificaci\u00f3n, que incluy\u00f3 la adopci\u00f3n temprana de veh\u00edculos el\u00e9ctricos;<\/li>\n<li>Despu\u00e9s, la era de los motores de combusti\u00f3n interna alimentados por combustibles f\u00f3siles;<\/li>\n<li>La era espacial fue lanzada por el hidr\u00f3geno;<\/li>\n<li>El transistor inaugur\u00f3 la era de los ordenadores;<\/li>\n<li>La tecnolog\u00eda de la informaci\u00f3n alimenta la era digital; y ahora,<\/li>\n<li>Buscamos formas de impulsar una nueva era de propulsi\u00f3n ecol\u00f3gica.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Como parte de esta nueva era de la propulsi\u00f3n, creo que ha llegado el momento de utilizar el hidr\u00f3geno como fuente de energ\u00eda para el transporte y que se ir\u00e1 imponiendo con el paso del tiempo.<\/p>\n<p>El uso del hidr\u00f3geno como fuente de energ\u00eda directa para los motores de combusti\u00f3n interna y las pilas de combustible es una carrera hacia la propulsi\u00f3n de veh\u00edculos neutros en carbono y con cero emisiones. En la actualidad se est\u00e1 llevando a cabo una enorme labor de investigaci\u00f3n y desarrollo. Por ejemplo, empresas como <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bmw.com\/en\/innovation\/how-hydrogen-fuel-cell-cars-work.html\">BMW<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gmhydrotec.com\/product\/public\/us\/en\/hydrotec\/Home.html\">GM<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gwm-global.com\/news\/3401233.html\">Great Wall Motor<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/automobiles.honda.com\/clarity-fuel-cell\">Honda<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hyundaiusa.com\/us\/en\/vehicles\/nexo\">Hyundai<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nissan-global.com\/EN\/TECHNOLOGY\/OVERVIEW\/fcv_stack.html\">Nissan<\/a>y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.toyota.com\/mirai\/\">Toyota<\/a> siguen desarrollando veh\u00edculos de pasajeros con pila de combustible de hidr\u00f3geno, y ya hay varios disponibles.
